Report: Spain’s Inditex, owner of Zara, to return to Russia – CEO

MADRID, Apr 20 (PRIME) -- Spain’s clothes retailer Inditex, the company that owns brands like Zara and Bershka, plans to return to Russia as soon as possible, newswire EFE reported on Wednesday quoting Inditex CEO Oscar Garcia Maceiras.

Inditex is closely monitoring the situation with Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, and will restart operations in Russia as soon as it becomes possible and as soon as the conditions allow them to do that, Maceiras said, as quoted by EFE.

Inditex owned 500 stores in Russia and employed more than 9,000 people. The company suspended operations in the country on March 5.
